2019 Young Author Fall Classes

Storymakery is a unique place for children and families to have fun while making both memories and stories that last a life time. We encourage kids to be creative and explore ideas, while also building their cognitive and writing skills. We create an interactive and personalized writing experience where kids will be able to publish their own book after creating their own characters, story plots, and book layouts.

Storymakery teaches creative writing in a way that no other enrichment program does today. Our program is designed to boost your child's writing and cognitive thinking while bringing your child’s characters and stories to life through our unique self-publishing experience.

Children at this age have an unlimited supply of imagination and ideas. They just may not know how to express what they’re thinking in writing. At Storymakery, we offer a creative writing program that supplements their education at school by allowing kids to create their own fantasy or adventure storybooks. For this age group, school teachers are showing students how to write basic sentences. Kids are also learning about expanding on sentences with descriptions. Many teachers are further explaining that there are no ‘rules’ when it comes to creative writing.

We agree! To encourage creativity and cognitive thinking, our writers will spend time with your kids to practice writing sentences and explore creative thinking via storytelling and writing prompts. The writing workshops will be complemented with time at our character and publishing studios, where kids can create characters and illustrations to help bring their story to life. Whether they currently enjoy writing or not, they will enjoy creative writing at the end of our program. Our goal is to show young children just how much fun creative thinking can be if they let their imaginations soar. During the camp, our staff will work with students on the following areas:
